Calculate your maximum heart rate

One of the tools that exist within YayTrain for Runners is a Heart Rate Range calculator. You can use the information about your Maximum Heart Rate to calculate where your appropriate training levels should be.
During the setup, if you allowed access to Health Kit records, we will use that information and pre-populate the information to help calculate your maximum heart rate.
If you haven’t enabled Health Kit, enter your Age and Gender, and we will calculate the heart rate zones. As you change your age, the heart rate zones should continue.
- The Maximum Range is used for High energy speed work.
- The Hard Range is used for Steady Runs
- The Moderate Range is for Easy runs
- The Light Range is for very easy or recovery work, most likely for the walking portion of the walk/run workouts.
- The Very Light would unlikely be used in the training plans
